‘Office Race’ Star Alyson Hannigan’s (52) Latest Selfie With Daughter Keeva Has Fans Joking About a Cloning Machine
For years, fans have been fascinated by how much Alyson Hannigan’s daughters resemble her, and a new Alyson Hannigan photo with daughter Keeva has reignited the conversation. The ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star shares 2 girls with her husband, fellow actor Alexis Denisof.
The couple met on the set of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and have been married since 2003. They welcomed daughter Satyana in March 2009, followed by Keeva in May 2012, and both girls inherited their mom’s signature red hair.
The family doesn’t keep the girls entirely out of the spotlight, occasionally bringing them to premieres and special events. That included a Jellycat event on Saturday, September 26, where Hannigan snapped a selfie with Keeva.
In the photo, mother and daughter beam at the camera with matching wide smiles, their long auburn hair falling past their shoulders. A playful “Road Trip” sign hangs in the background, adding to the cheerful mood.
When Hannigan shared pictures from the party with her 3.1 million Instagram followers, the reaction was immediate. Fans pointed out their similar auburn hair, brown eyes, and wide smiles, insisting that Keeva looks more like her mom’s mini-me every day. The comment section quickly filled with jokes. One follower admitted, “Thought I was seeing double for a sec; had to rub my eyes.”
Others went even further, with one person quipping that there’s genetics and then there’s cloning. Another joked about needing access to the cloning machine to create an extra version of themselves to help handle life. Some fans playfully wondered whether their dad’s genes had even tried. Meanwhile, another commenter joked that the girls were definitely her daughters, just in case she had any doubts.
This isn’t the first time Keeva’s resemblance has stolen the show. In December, Hannigan celebrated her daughter getting her braces removed with before-and-after photos, one of which showed the pair smiling together at dinner.
At the time, Hannigan admitted she felt a little nostalgic that their braces era was over, but grateful her daughter had a beautiful new smile. Followers described the pair as “copy and paste” and joked that they looked more like sisters.
The resemblance came up again earlier this month when Keeva started high school. Hannigan shared a photo of her daughter holding a back-to-school sign referencing Taylor Swift, noting that she now has 2 high schoolers.
While Keeva is often called her mom’s twin, 17-year-old Satyana also shares a strong resemblance to Hannigan. Fans on social media have especially noticed their similar closed-mouth smiles. In a previous post from cherry blossom season, Hannigan shared a rare shot of both daughters posing cheek-to-cheek. Fans were once again amazed by how similar they look to their famous mother.
Hannigan played Willow on ‘Buffy’ from 1997 until 2003 before joining Denisof on ‘How I Met Your Mother’, which ran until 2014. After that show ended, she deliberately spent more time focusing on family life and raising her daughters.
She has previously described motherhood as a nonstop, wonderfully hard job that is also rewarding. She and Denisof have also been slowly introducing their daughters to their earlier work. With every new post, it’s clear fans love these glimpses into Hannigan’s family life. And judging by the reactions, the lookalike jokes aren’t stopping anytime soon.
