Halo is a series of video games owned and published by Xbox Game Studios. The franchise kicked off with the original Halo game in 2001. Since then, many sequels and spin-offs were released, and the latest installment — Halo Infinite — was released in December last year.

The TV series based on the video game franchise was in development hell for years ever since the project was originally planned in 2015 with Steven Spielberg as the producer. Now, Kyle Killen and Steven Kane are writing and developing the series, with Otto Bathurst as the producer. Steven Spielberg is still part of the project as the executive producer.

Halo TV series is starring Pablo Schreiber, Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Charlie Murphy, Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Kate Kennedy, Natasha Culzac, Bentley Calu, and Jen Taylor, who is reprising the voice role of Cortana, the AI from the video game series.
