One Piece Odyssey: New RPG Video Game Based On The Famous Anime Announced With The First Trailer

One Piece is a worldwide known and popular manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The manga started publishing in 1997 and it spawned 101 volumes to this day. The anime television series of the same premiered in 1999, and it aired over 1000 episodes to this day. Of course, with such huge popularity and fanbase, One Piece became a media franchise that also started spawning video games.
The first-ever video game based on One Piece was One Piece: Become the Pirate King!, which was released in 2000 for WonderSwan. The game was developed by Soft Machine and published by Bandai. The first One Piece video game that was released on PlayStation was One Piece: Grand Battle!, which was released in 2001 in Japan, and in 2003 in Europe. Since then, numerous video games based on the One Piece franchise have been developed, and most of them were published by Bandai.
Now, Bandai Namco Entertainment officially revealed the newest One Piece video game — One Piece Odyssey — which is set to be released this year. The exact release date is still TBA. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will be RPG, and from the trailer, we can see how the graphic is in looking very anime-ish.
