Paramount+ Turns Big Ben Into Harrigan Territory To Promote ‘MobLand’ Season 2
Marketing stunts built around London’s most recognizable landmarks have become something of a signature move for Paramount in recent promotional campaigns, using CGI-enhanced “out-of-home” style videos to turn familiar city scenery into eye-catching advertisements. That same playbook now appears to be extending to one of the streamer’s biggest crime dramas.
A new promotional clip circulating online shows Big Ben displaying a projected message reading “GET THE RUN OUT WITH THE HARRIGANS OR ELSE,” tying directly into “MobLand” Season 2, which is now streaming on Paramount+. The video marks the latest example of Paramount leaning into large-scale, visually striking marketing built around one of London’s most iconic structures.
This kind of digitally enhanced promotional content follows a pattern Paramount has used before for other releases. The studio previously ran a similar campaign for “The Naked Gun” reboot, featuring a plane towing a banner past Big Ben, and another for “The Smurfs,” which depicted a Smurf-themed double-decker bus driving past the landmark. Both were produced as computer-generated “fake out of home” style videos designed to look like real-world stunts while being created entirely through visual effects.
Given “MobLand’s” central premise, the choice to frame the promotional message as an ominous warning from the Harrigan crime family fits the show’s tone well. Season 2 finds the Harrigans facing escalating internal and external threats, with Tom Hardy’s fixer character Harry Da Souza warning in the show’s trailer that “this family is in a death spiral.”

That kind of menacing messaging translates naturally into a marketing stunt built around asserting territorial dominance, even in a purely digital format. Turning one of London’s most recognized symbols into a piece of “Harrigan territory” plays directly into the fictional family’s brutal reputation within the series.
“MobLand” Season 2 continues the story of the Harrigan crime family, led by Pierce Brosnan’s Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren’s Maeve Harrigan, as they navigate deepening internal conflict and rival threats to their power. The new season features ten episodes and brings back the show’s core cast, including Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, and Janet McTeer, alongside Hardy’s Harry.

Created by Ronan Bennett with script contributions from Jez Butterworth and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, the series became one of Paramount+’s biggest global launches following its March 2025 debut, reportedly drawing more than 26 million viewers and becoming the platform’s second-most-watched original series ever, trailing only “Landman.”

With Season 2 now available to stream, this Big Ben-centered promotional push adds to a growing string of high-visibility, visually distinctive campaigns Paramount has used to generate buzz around its biggest titles. Whether the stunt drives the same kind of online conversation as the studio’s previous London-based ads remains to be seen, but the approach clearly signals continued confidence in the franchise’s ability to command attention.
