Cillian Murphy is back as Tommy Shelby, and other returning stars, among others, include Tom Hardy, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, Anya Taylor-Joy and Sophie Rundle. Helen McCrory, who played the character Polly Gray, passed away in April 2021, and it’s unknown how will her character’s fate be resolved in the final season.

“Peaky is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.” — Steven Knight, creator and writer of Peaky Blinders, source: Deadline

Peaky Blinders first premiered in September 2013 on BBC Two, where it aired the first four seasons. Starting with season 5, the series was moved to BBC One, where it achieved a much higher viewership rating. Season 5 aired in August and September of 2019, and now the series is set to end in early 2022 with Season 6.
