‘Peaky Blinders’ Paul Anderson Shocks Fans with Chilling Looks After Crack Cocaine Admission
Peaky Blinders star Paul Anderson looked almost unrecognizable from his TV role as Arthur Shelby. Fans were shocked by his disheveled appearance, which was a far cry from the sharp and intense Arthur Shelby fans remember from the hit series.
Anderson’s rough look comes after he admitted to possessing crack cocaine, amphetamines, and prescription drugs following a Boxing Day outing at a pub in Hampstead, north-west London.
According to court records from 2024 the TV star was with a friend and a baby when police discovered the Class A drug and a pipe used for smoking it. At the hearing, Anderson pleaded guilty to all four drug charges, which also included Class C prescription substances.

The actor gave minimal comment in court, speaking only to confirm his identity and address. He was fined a total of £1,345. Prosecutor Kevin Kendridge said that Anderson had been recognized by the public while leaving the pub and tried to “play up” to fans in a way reminiscent of his Peaky Blinders character, adding, “You will recognise the defendant from a very intense part that he has played in a recent television programme.”
Paul Anderson's character was one of the most intense and chaotic pieces in history. In the new movie 'The Immortal Man', his absence is felt too much and after we knew why, we felt worse.

Despite his appearance and legal troubles, Anderson’s absence from the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, The Immortal Man, is more about story decisions than his personal issues.
Arthur Shelby Jr., the character he played for all six seasons of the show, is killed off in the film to focus on Tommy Shelby’s story. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight told Digital Spy in March, “The story picks which characters are going to be there,” and explained that Arthur’s death helps shape Tommy’s character. Anderson himself called the outcome “great,” telling LADbible, “I mean, it’s such a powerful thing to do. It’s something you don’t see on TV.”
Anderson’s current look has sparked concern among fans, who remember him as the intense, stylish Arthur Shelby. From the pub outing to his court appearance, it’s clear he has drifted far from the polished, on-screen image that made him famous.
It’s shocking to see Paul Anderson like this after all his years as Arthur Shelby. His once commanding presence seems completely gone, and fans can’t help but notice how much he has changed. What do you think of Paul’s current look and situation? Share your thoughts in the comments.
