Imaginary Friends, a fantasy comedy that was announced in October 2019 with John Krasinski set to star and direct and Ryan Reynolds to star, is finally going forward.

Although the movie was announced two years ago, Krasinski still needed to finish A Quiet Place Part 2, and then the pandemic happened which pushed everything back. But now, Krasinski is getting ready to get his hands on his next film with Ryan Reynolds, and two newly announced actresses – Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw, as THR reported.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a 3-time Emmy winner known for Fleabag, Killing Eve, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Fiona Shaw is a 3-time Emmy Nominee mostly known for the role of Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter saga, she also worked with Waller-Bridge on Fleabag and Killing Eve.

John Krasinski will direct and star in Imaginary Friends. Although it’s described as a fantasy comedy, the plot is still unknown.

Imaginary Friends is slated to be released on Thanksgiving 2023. Paramount will distribute the movie.
