Pixar’s ‘Elio’ Gets a Perfect 10 ‘Wokeness’ Score as Woke-Rating Websites Take Over the Internet
For years, moviegoers have turned to sites like Rotten Tomatoes to decide what to watch. But a growing corner of the internet is now rating films on something entirely different, and the latest wave of so-called woke-rating websites has sparked a heated online debate.
The idea isn’t brand new. Fox News previously profiled a site called “Worth it or Woke,” whose creator said he noticed that movies with high critic scores and much lower audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes often seemed to carry leftist messaging, and that he hoped viewers could “vote with their dollars” if they wanted to avoid such films.
Now a new crop of these platforms has gone viral, and one result in particular has people talking. On a site called WokeOrNot, Pixar’s 2025 animated adventure ‘Elio’ sits at the very top of the scale, labeled “Very Woke” with a wokeness score of 10.0 out of 10.
The site lets users search movies, TV shows, and kids’ content to see how “woke” they are rated. It sorts titles into 3 levels: Not Woke for scores of 1 to 3, Moderately Woke for 4 to 6, and Very Woke for 7 to 10.
WokeOrNot also leans on its community. The site invites users to rate the wokeness of titles and share their opinions, while describing itself as a trusted source for determining wokeness in movies and TV.

The platform pulls its film data from TMDB, though it notes it isn’t endorsed by the database. It also participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program.
On its ‘Elio’ page, the site lists the film as a 98-minute release spanning animation, adventure, science fiction, family and comedy. Below the perfect 10 score sits a section labeled “Woke Reasons,” next to the film’s official synopsis.
That synopsis describes Elio as a space fanatic with an active imagination who ends up on a cosmic misadventure, forming bonds with alien lifeforms while discovering who he is meant to be. Many online found it striking that a family-friendly animated film landed at the very top of the scale.

WokeOrNot isn’t the only site making waves. In September, a separate platform called Is It Woke or Not gained traction on X, assigning percentage scores across 7 categories, with higher percentages meaning more “woke.”
Its homepage openly encourages users to “avoid the woke stuff.” Examples include ‘Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story’ at 85%, ‘Pluribus’ at 57%, ‘Obsession’ at 19%, and ‘Reacher’ at 0%.
The Tab noted that the site relies on AI analysis, with factors such as “woke” representation and casting. Its creator seemed thrilled by the attention, posting that it was great to see so much interest as the site kept blowing up.
Unsurprisingly, the response has been sharply split. Supporters see these platforms as a way for families and like-minded viewers to make informed choices about what they watch.
Critics, however, have mocked the concept. Many social media users said they first assumed the sites were satire before realizing they were serious, while others found it ironic that their favorite shows were labeled as ones to avoid.
Whatever your view, these sites reflect how politically charged conversations about entertainment have become. And with titles like ‘Elio’ landing perfect scores, the debate doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.
Do you think websites that rate movies by how “woke” they are serve a useful purpose?
