Playboi Carti Hit with Assault Charge – Full Story Revealed

Playboi Carti is facing legal trouble following an alleged assault incident in Utah earlier this month, according to law enforcement sources.

The rapper, known for his hit “Rather Lie,” was cited for misdemeanor assault after an encounter with a limo driver during his Antagonist Tour.

Authorities say limo driver Carl Reynolds told police that Carti attacked him while Reynolds was transporting the rapper and his entourage from the Waldorf Astoria in Park City to rehearsals on October 2. Carti was reportedly in town for tour stops at the time.

Reynolds claims the situation escalated after Carti got into a heated argument with his girlfriend in the back of the limo.

He told police that Carti allegedly threatened both his girlfriend and him when he tried to intervene. According to a police report obtained by KSL, Reynolds said he saw his girlfriend “hunched over holding near her chest,” though he admitted he did not witness Carti hitting her directly reports TMZ.

Reynolds asked Carti’s head of security to remove the rapper from the vehicle. That’s when Reynolds claims Carti punched him in the jaw as his girlfriend exited the limo. He said the blow left him with a swollen jaw and a whiplash effect before Carti’s security stepped in to break up the fight. Another ALC A Limousine Connection driver reportedly witnessed the incident.

Wasatch County police responded to the scene and documented Reynolds’ injuries with photographs. Reynolds is now planning to hire a lawyer but said his main concern is preventing Carti from hurting anyone else, including his girlfriend.
