Apple is adding a new sci-fi show called Pluribus to its growing lineup, created by Vince Gilligan, the mind behind Breaking Bad. The company finally shared a short teaser and announced that the show will premiere on Apple TV Plus on November 7th.

The project has been in the works for some time. Apple first said back in 2022 that they had picked up a new series from Gilligan.

The show stars Rhea Seehorn, who is familiar to fans as Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul, another Gilligan hit. Not much is known about the story yet, but Apple describes it as a show about “the most miserable person on Earth” who “must save the world from happiness.” The cast also includes Karolina Wydra, Carlos Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte.

Vince Gilligan talked about the series a few months ago, calling it a “grounded genre drama.” He wrote the lead role specifically for Seehorn, which shows how important her character is to the story. Alongside Seehorn, Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga have main roles, while Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte will appear as guest stars.

Apple seems very confident about Pluribus. Even before the first episode has aired, the streaming service has already ordered a second season. This shows how much trust they have in Gilligan and his new project to be a big success on their platform.
