Pregnant Kaley Cuoco (40) Turns Her Baby Bump Into a Dessert Table in Hilarious New Photo
Kaley Cuoco has never been one to take herself too seriously, and pregnancy is proving no exception. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘The Flight Attendant’ star has spent the past few months sharing candid updates as she prepares to welcome her second child with fiancé Tom Pelphrey.
The 40-year-old actress has also been giving fans sweet glimpses of family life. Shortly before her latest post, she shared a clip of 44-year-old Pelphrey playing with the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Matilda.
On October 6, Cuoco took the relatable route on her Instagram Stories. After first sharing a video of herself eating food off her bare bump, she followed up with a photo of herself lounging on the couch and eating cake from a container balanced right on top of her belly.
In the photo, Cuoco wears an orange top pulled up over her bump while holding a fork, with a slice of layered cake resting in a takeout-style container. Her playful expression made the moment even funnier.
She captioned the snap with a lighthearted line suggesting this is what she gets up to in the meantime. Fans quickly praised the post as one of the most honest pregnancy photos they had seen.
Cuoco and Pelphrey announced in June that they are expecting another baby girl. The June 10 reveal featured a gender reveal cake with pink inside, along with photos of Matilda and a 3D ultrasound of the baby’s face.
In her caption at the time, Cuoco said the new baby would complete their little family, calling it a dream come true. The message suggested the couple plans to stop at 2 children.
Since sharing the news, Cuoco has embraced her pregnancy in public. Just weeks after the announcement, she cradled her bump on the red carpet at the June 23 premiere of HBO’s ‘Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness’ in Los Angeles, supporting Larry David after previously guest-starring on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’.
She made another memorable appearance at the Emmys on September 14 alongside Pelphrey. For that occasion, she wore a pink Christian Siriano gown with an embellished neckline and a flowing chiffon skirt that draped over her growing bump.
Cuoco and Pelphrey first met at the premiere of the final season of ‘Ozark’. Their relationship moved quickly, and they announced their first pregnancy in October of that same year.
That first announcement also featured a cake with pink frosting, revealing that a baby girl was on the way. It makes Cuoco’s latest cake-filled photo feel like a fun full-circle moment.
Cuoco later confirmed her engagement to Pelphrey, who has since become an Emmy winner for ‘Task’, on her Instagram Stories in August 2024. The couple has continued to share their family life with fans ever since.
Cuoco has always been open about the less glamorous side of expecting. During her first pregnancy, she revealed that she was extremely nauseous while filming the action movie ‘Role Play’.
This time around, she seems to be finding the humor in every moment. Her cake photo struck a chord with many parents, who appreciated seeing a celebrity embrace the cravings, comfort and chaos of pregnancy.
