Priyanka Chopra (43) Turns Heads at Oscars as Her Jewelry Steals the Scene
Richard Burton once remarked that Bulgari was the only Italian word Elizabeth Taylor truly understood, a sentiment that perfectly captures the brand’s long-standing connection to the peak of cinematic glamour.
Over the decades, the jewelry house has become a staple for icons ranging from Ingrid Bergman and Monica Vitti to contemporary stars like Sharon Stone. This legacy of elegance was on full display at the 98th Academy Awards, where Priyanka Chopra Jonas represented the brand as its global ambassador.

The actress arrived at the Dolby Theatre wearing several world-premiere pieces from Bulgari’s upcoming Eclettica collection. These high jewelry creations are set to be officially unveiled to the public in Italy later this month.
Because each piece of high jewelry is crafted by hand by master artisans using the world’s most exceptional stones, they are often considered the jewelry equivalent of haute couture.

The centerpiece of her look was the Serpenti Illusio necklace, a white gold masterpiece that required more than 1,300 hours of meticulous labor. The design is composed of 235 individual elements, featuring a stunning 14-carat Madagascar sapphire at its heart.
Surrounded by pavé diamonds, buff-top emeralds, and onyx accents, the necklace is designed to transform as the viewer looks at it. While the large sapphire initially commands the viewer’s attention, the house’s legendary serpent motif is cleverly woven into the structure, gradually revealing itself just above the central stone.
The piece acts as both a sculpture and an illusion, playing with light and the movement of the body. Chopra is known for making bold jewelry choices, having previously worn a 241-carat emerald from the brand at the Met Gala.
Outside of her role as a high-fashion ambassador, Chopra has been exceptionally busy with her global acting career throughout the year. She recently starred in the swashbuckling action-thriller The Bluff, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in late February.
In the film, she plays a former pirate in the 19th-century Caribbean who must protect her family from the consequences of her past. The project featured an impressive ensemble cast, including Karl Urban and Ismael Cruz Córdova, and allowed the actress to showcase her skills in intense physical stunts.
Fans are also looking forward to the second season of her high-stakes spy series, Citadel, which is expected to return to screens later this spring. The upcoming season will reportedly integrate characters from the show’s international spin-offs, Citadel: Diana and Citadel: Honey Bunny.
