PS5’s Best-Selling 2025 Game Now Half Price in PlayStation Store Sale

Forza Horizon 5, the hit racing game, is now on sale for PS5 at its lowest price yet. The game, which launched on PlayStation in April 2025 for $60, is now available for $29.99 as part of the PlayStation Store’s “Tokyo Game Show 2025” promotion.

The sale will run until October 2nd, giving fans a chance to grab the game at half price.

Originally developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, Forza Horizon 5 first released in November 2021 for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is the fifth main entry in the Forza Horizon series and is set in a fictionalized version of Mexico. Its release on PS5 marked the first time a mainline Forza title was available outside of Xbox and PC platforms.

The game has been a commercial success, quickly reaching over 10 million players in its first week on Xbox, making it the biggest launch in Xbox Game Studios history.

Critically, it has also been praised, winning IGN’s Game of the Year award, three jury-voted awards at the Game Awards 2021, tying with It Takes Two for most wins, and earning Racing Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

Despite being new to PlayStation, Forza Horizon 5 has already become the best-selling PS5 game of 2025. In less than five months, it has sold over three million copies, proving its popularity among racing fans.
