Quentin Tarantino stepped out to support his wife, Daniella Pick, at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film, The Perfect Gamble, on Wednesday. The couple, rarely seen together in public, attended the first U.S. screening at Harmony Gold on Sunset Boulevard.

Tarantino, 62, wrapped his arms around Pick, 41, as they arrived, showing his support for the Israeli actress. Pick wore a red backless gown while promoting her thriller alongside her husband. The film stars Pick with David Arquette, Eli Danker, and director Danny Abeckaser, and was shot in Israel and Georgia.

Tarantino and Pick first met in 2009 when he was promoting Inglourious Basterds in Israel. They married nine years later at his Beverly Hills home and have two children: a son, Leo, five, and a daughter born in July 2022. A spokesperson confirmed the birth to PEOPLE, saying, “Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, their first child.”

Speaking about their son’s name on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tarantino explained, “We almost didn’t name him that because people would assume I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio. There’s nothing wrong with that, but … he’s named after my wife’s grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion.”

Tarantino has previously said he plans to retire after his 10th film, though details of that project remain unknown. When asked about a potential Kill Bill sequel, he teased, “Why not?” The director also received a lifetime achievement award at the 2022 Rome Film Festival, admitting he still has “no idea” what his final film will be.

It was a rare glimpse of the couple together on the red carpet, showing a more personal side of the director who is usually in the spotlight for his films.
