In July 2019, the new Blade movie, which will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was officially announced with Mahershala Ali playing the titular role. Now, more than two years later, the movie is in active development, but there was no word on the release date. Could that change now?

On verified Twitter account Marvel India, today we could’ve found a new post which shows that Blade’s release date is set on October 7, 2022, which is only one month before The Marvels. Marvel Studios didn’t say anything official on this, so it is uncertain if this is a mistake or some unintentional leak.

Only time will tell, but Marvel will certainly give us the official release date at the right time. Until then, we have dozens of other projects, and the closest right now is Eternals movie, which will hit theaters next month. Marvel Studios has a really tight schedule. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 scheduled on May 2023, that’s the last movie with a confirmed release date right now.

Apart from Blade, there are several more movie projects that are in active development, but still, with no word when will the audience see them; Fantastic Four, Deadpool 3, and Captain America 4.

Do you think this release date could be legit? Or it’s still too early for that movie?
