Marvel fans have been waiting for a proper look at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, and now a new collectible may have given them exactly that.

Hot Toys has revealed a new 1/6-scale Doctor Doom figure based on the character from Avengers: Doomsday. While Marvel has kept Doom’s full appearance mostly hidden in its trailers, this new figure shows off almost every part of the villain’s costume.

The reveal is getting plenty of attention because Doctor Doom is one of the biggest pieces of the upcoming Avengers movie. Downey Jr. is returning to the MCU, but he will not be playing Tony Stark this time. Instead, he is taking on the role of one of Marvel’s most famous villains.

The Hot Toys figure stands about 31 centimeters tall and has around 30 points of movement. Its masked head also has rolling eyes, which lets collectors change where Doom is looking when they pose him.

The costume is packed with details. Doom wears silver armor over a dark green outfit, along with a textured tunic. His large green hooded cloak is also included, and it has bendable wire so fans can change its shape. The cloak is held together with magnetic clasps and a real metal chain.

The rest of the outfit keeps the classic Doctor Doom style. There are chainmail sleeves, armored gloves, a fabric arm wrap, a black belt with a silver buckle, and heavy boots and leg armor.

Hot Toys is offering more than one version of the figure. The Early Access edition comes with the main figure and its basic accessories, while the more expensive Ultimate Edition includes extra items. One of those is a large Sentinel hand, while another appears to be a book similar to the Darkhold.

There is also a separate throne available for fans who want to give Doom an even bigger display. Considering that Doom is the ruler of Latveria, the throne feels like a fitting addition to the collection.

According to Sideshow Collectibles, pre-orders start at $285 for the Early Access version and $390 for the Ultimate Edition. The figures are currently expected to arrive in March 2027.

Doctor Doom is also not the only Avengers: Doomsday character getting the Hot Toys treatment. The company is releasing figures based on several X-Men characters expected to appear in the movie. That includes Ian McKellen’s Magneto, James Marsden’s Cyclops and Channing Tatum’s Gambit. Beast and Professor X are also expected to join the lineup.

That makes the collection especially interesting because it gives fans a look at how many different Marvel characters are coming together for Doomsday. The movie is bringing together characters connected to the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four, with Doctor Doom sitting at the center of the story.

For now, the Hot Toys figure may be the closest thing fans have to a full reveal of Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. It is still a collectible and may not show every detail exactly as it will appear in the movie, but it gives fans a much better idea of what to expect.

Downey Jr.’s return has already made Doctor Doom one of the most talked-about parts of Avengers: Doomsday. Now, with this detailed figure showing off his armor, hood and mask, the excitement is only getting bigger.

The information about the figure comes from Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles, which revealed the collectible, its accessories, pricing and expected release window.

The big question now is whether Doctor Doom will look just as impressive when Robert Downey Jr. finally brings the character to the big screen.
