Rumor: Earth-199999 Illuminati to Consist of Carol Danvers, Wong & Bruce Banner (So Far)

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ unveiled a familiar Marvel comic book think-tank, The Illuminati.
This iteration of The Illuminati originated from the alternate Earth-838. A formidable group, spearheaded by Earth-838’s Stephen Strange, formed to shield their universe from formidable threats like cosmic entities and interdimensional invasions.
The initial roster included Stephen Strange, Charles Xavier, Peggy Carter, Blackagar Boltagon, Maria Rambeau, and Reed Richards. Karl Mordo joined after Strange’s demise following the Battle of Titan. Unfortunately, the Illuminati met their end, thanks to Wanda Maximoff, who spared only Mordo.
Now, as per rumors circulating from a reliable leaker on X CanWeGetSomeToast, the Earth-199999 version of the Illuminati in the MCU will feature Carol Danvers, Wong, and Bruce Banner.
The current lineup differs somewhat from what we’ve seen in the comics, but it’s likely that additional members will join once X-Men and Fantastic Four make their official debut in the MCU. The Illuminati was a secretive assembly of Earth’s top heroes, each representing diverse communities. Meeting covertly for years, they responded to various crises and significant events. Despite their diverse backgrounds, they achieved early success, with each member contributing a unique perspective to problem-solving.
However, depending on one’s perspective, they sometimes caused more harm than good, notably during the ‘World War Hulk’ storyline, where their actions were exposed. Internal conflicts and external crises repeatedly threatened their existence, leading to persistent re-grouping, sometimes with entirely new lineups.
After successfully preventing the multiverse’s destruction due to incursions, they disbanded, only to regroup once again. Current members of the Illuminati in the comics include Black Bolt, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Namor, and Professor X.
