Rumors Suggest DC Studios’ Teen Titans Movie Will Feature Original Cartoon Roster

A few months ago, we reported rumors about a live-action Teen Titans movie in development, and those rumors have now since then been confirmed. Ana Nogueira, who is currently working on Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow, has been hired to write the script.

At this stage, details about the movie remain scarce, except for the writer’s involvement. However, popular insider Apocalyptic Horseman has shared what could be the most exciting piece of information so far—the team’s roster.

Apocalyptic Horseman recently hosted a Q&A on their private X profile, where they shared several intriguing details, including news that The Authority is being reworked into an animated project. The insider also revealed the rumored roster for the upcoming Teen Titans movie.

According to Horseman, the movie will feature characters from the beloved animated Teen Titans series, including Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy. However, the insider mentioned uncertainty about which version of Robin will be included in the film.

Teen Titans is inspired by stories from the 1980s by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, introducing iconic characters and themes from that era.

The core team includes Robin (the smart leader), Starfire (a curious alien princess), Cyborg (a half-human, half-robot with strength and tech skills), Raven (a girl with dark powers from another world), and Beast Boy (a playful jokester who can transform into animals). They live in Titans Tower, an island-based headquarters near Jump City, where they battle crime and face personal challenges while growing up together.

The cartoon was a huge hit, running for 5 seasons, and the franchise includes a special, a movie, and a 2019 crossover. Given its success, it’s no surprise that this original lineup is expected in the upcoming movie.
