Ryan Reynolds Admits ‘Deadpool 4’ Could Impact His Family Life: “My Wife and Children will divorce me”

Deadpool and Wolverine’ spent many years in development, and was nearly scrapped until Jackman proposed a brilliant idea that won over MCU boss Feige and everyone involved.

The movie premiered to phenomenal audience reactions, despite slightly less favorable critics’ scores, clearly establishing it as a major hit for the MCU.

As both Jackman and Reynolds have repeatedly emphasized, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ was always intended as a “one-off” and not as a setup for future MCU installments or a commercial for another movie. The film even humorously references the current chaotic state of the MCU and the Multiverse Saga, a brilliant moment of self-reflection.

However, fans are eager for more, hoping for ‘Deadpool 4,’ ideally ‘Deadpool & Wolverine 2.’

Recently, Reynolds appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he was asked about the possibility of ‘Deadpool 4.’ The actor jokingly replied:

Oh, God, no. My wife and children will divorce me.

It’s no secret that Reynolds is deeply committed to Deadpool, having taken on multiple roles in the movie’s development—actor, writer, and producer. This level of dedication significantly impacts his personal life, not to mention the extensive months of marketing involved. This is all assuming Reynolds isn’t also engaged in another major project simultaneously.

While the likelihood of a fourth ‘Deadpool’ movie being developed so soon after ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is slim, we can certainly hope to see both characters in future MCU projects. Rumors suggest they might appear as early as ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’
