Samara Weaving Turns Up the Edge in Bridal Look for ‘Ready or Not 2’ — Lace, Attitude, and a Hint of Danger in Every Frame
The horror sequel Ready or Not 2 is starting to build attention again after new images of Samara Weaving were shared online. The update came directly from the actress through her Instagram stories.
In the post, Weaving appears in a wedding dress while standing inside a dark and unfinished-looking space. The area looks like a basement or a building site. A strong yellow light shines on her, giving the scene a harsh and tense feeling.
She is wearing a white bridal gown with a fitted top and detailed fabric work across the chest. The skirt is large and layered, with a loose and heavy shape. She also has long gloves that match the outfit. Her hair is worn down in soft waves, and sunglasses rest on top of her head. The look mixes a classic bridal style with a rough, uneasy setting.

The image connects back to the first film, where her wedding outfit slowly became torn and dirty as the story went on.
Ready or Not 2 continues the story after the events of the first film released in 2019. The sequel follows the character Grace after she survived the deadly game in the Le Domas family. This time, the story is expected to expand beyond a single family and explore a wider group connected to the same world.
The film also brings new characters into the story. Kathryn Newton plays Grace’s sister, which adds a personal connection to the plot. Other cast members include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg. The directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are also returning to lead the project.

Outside of this franchise, Weaving has stayed active in film. She has worked in horror and thriller projects and continues to build her career in genre movies. She is also involved in other upcoming releases, showing that she is keeping a steady presence in Hollywood.
The sequel is set to arrive in theaters today. The production moved quickly through filming in Toronto during 2025 to meet that release date. The marketing so far is focusing heavily on Weaving’s return as Grace and the survival horror tone that made the first film popular.
The first look does its job well because it sets a mood without giving away too much. It keeps the tension alive and reminds viewers why the original film worked. If the sequel keeps that same mix of dark humor and survival horror, it could do well again. What do you think about this first look at the sequel? Do you think it will live up to the original?
