Sarah Michelle Gellar caught everyone’s attention in Paris on Wednesday night for the premiere of her new movie, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.

She wore a black strapless dress made by the designer Temraza that had a very dark and moody style. The outfit was full of interesting details like see-through fabric at the waist and a very high slit on one side of the skirt.

The dress used lace that looked like old Victorian designs but also felt modern because of its sharp shapes. To finish the look, Gellar wore satin high heels from Jimmy Choo and sparkling diamond earrings from Effy Jewelry. Her style for this event was put together by Tara Swennen, who is a famous stylist known for working with other stars like Kristen Stewart.

This is not the first time Gellar has worn this kind of dark clothing lately. When she was in New York City on March 18 for a screening of the same film, she wore a black outfit from Dolce & Gabbana. That look included a lacy top that showed a bit of her bra underneath, which is a style many celebrities have been trying lately. In fact, Demi Lovato wore a very similar top to a party back in October 2025.

The new movie Gellar is promoting is a sequel to the hit horror film about a deadly game. In this second story, the main character Grace has to try and survive another night of being hunted. This time, her sister Faith is also in danger as they both become targets of a new group of killers. The film features Kathryn Newton and Samara Weaving and is playing in theaters right now.

It seems like Gellar and her stylist are intentionally using these gothic outfits to match the scary and dark theme of the movie. Most actors try to look bright and happy on the red carpet, but she is leaning into the horror vibe. It is a smart way to get people talking about the film while also looking very fashionable.
