(VIDEO) You Know That Video Where a Woman Disappears Behind Scarlett Johansson? The Actress Confirmed That’s Her Mom!
Several years ago, a strange video resurfaced online of a woman disappearing in an eerie way behind Scarlett Johansson.
In a viral 2006 clip from the Weinstein Company Golden Globes after-party, a woman seemingly disappears behind Scarlett Johansson during a red carpet interview. The video shows Johansson being interviewed while a woman in a black gown and a man in a dark suit pass behind her. The man moves out of view, but the woman vanishes without reappearing, sparking widespread speculation and theories online about the mysterious disappearance. Many have questioned if the clip was altered or if there is another explanation, like something supernatural, alien abduction, or secret Golden Globes dimensional doors.
The clip has since been “debunked.” There’s nothing supernatural going on. It’s just that the woman “caught” the right camera angles just as the man was walking by which gave an illusion of the woman disappearing. If you’re looking at the scene from a different angle, you can see that the woman is still present just no longer visible in the first camera angle:
Now this is where it gets funny and interesting, the actress recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Falon’ and she was asked about the video. The actress was shocked to see the scene, but the audiences were left even more shocked when the actress stated that this was her mother:
The actress also jokingly said that she hadn’t seen her mother in 15 years possibly getting in on the joke that her mother vanished without a trace that night.
With a bit of research, and the obvious fact that the two women share a resemblance we can confirm that the woman “who vanished” truly is Johansson’s mother, Melanie Sloan. Sloan is a producer and actress in her own right although she never quite reached planetary fame like her daughter did.
