Scream 6: Release Date Revealed

Where To Watch Scream Movies? The Complete Guide

Earlier today we said how Paramount Pictures really isn’t wasting any time with the upcoming sixth installment of the Scream franchise, but we had no idea that it’s gonna be out so soon. On the official Twitter account of the movie franchise, it was just recently revealed that Scream 6 will debut in theaters on March 31, 2023, which is only one year and two months after the fifth installment premiered in theaters.

The franchise’s veteran Courteney Cox, who plays Gale Weathers, recently revealed that she got the script for the next movie and that the production is set to begin next June in Canada. Neve Cambell, who plays Sidney Prescott also revealed that she’s down for the sequel, but she’s waiting to read the script to see how she feels about it. If Cox already got the script, we bet Cambell got one as well.

The Scream franchise kicked off in 1996 with the original movie of the same name directed by Wes Craven. Craven also directed three sequels which were released in 1997, 2000, and 2011. The fifth installment was released in January 2022, and it looks like we won’t need to wait another decade for the next film. Quite the contrary, we’ll need to wait only one year.
