‘Scream 7’ Trailer Reveals New Horrors for Sidney Prescott and Her Family
Ghostface is back, and he’s targeting a new generation in the latest trailer for Scream 7. Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott in the seventh installment of the iconic slasher series. Paramount Pictures will release the film in theaters on February 27, 2026, and fans are already buzzing over the new teaser.
The trailer opens with quick flashes from the earlier Scream films, showing the familiar voice of Ghostface, played by Roger L. Jackson, terrorizing past victims like Drew Barrymore, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Sidney herself.
Thirty years later, the killer is back, and this time, Sidney’s daughter, Tatum (played by Isabel May), is in the crosshairs. Ghostface seems to have planned this attack for years, using Tatum as part of a twisted game.

Alongside Campbell, several familiar faces from previous Scream movies are returning. Courteney Cox reprises her role as Gale Weathers, while Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding return as Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, the twins who survived recent killings. The trailer also teases the return of former Ghostfaces Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard) and Roman Bridger (Scott Foley), despite their characters being long gone.
David Arquette also returns as Dewey Riley, even though his character was killed in Scream (2022). New cast members include Joel McHale as Sidney’s husband Mark, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.
The film marks Kevin Williamson’s directorial debut in the Scream franchise, after previously writing the first, second, and fourth films. He co-wrote the script with Guy Busick, based on a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt.
The production faced major changes, including the departure of directors Christopher Landon, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, and Tyler Gillett. Stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega also left the project in late 2023, leading to a retooling of the film. Campbell confirmed her return in March 2024, with filming taking place from January to March 2025.
Scream 7 follows Sidney Prescott as she tries to protect her daughter Tatum from a new Ghostface killer. After moving to the quiet town of Pine Grove, Indiana, Sidney is forced to confront her past and face the killer once more.
Scream 7 is scheduled for release on February 27 and will be available in theaters nationwide.
It’s exciting to see the franchise bring back classic characters while introducing new ones. The mix of nostalgia and fresh storylines could make Scream 7 a real thrill for longtime fans and newcomers alike. What do you think? Are you ready to face Ghostface again?
