‘Scrubs’ Season 2 Episode 6 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview
The next ‘Scrubs’ episode is titled ‘My Halloween’, and it is scheduled to air on ABC on October 28. It follows ‘My Best Friend’s Birthday’, which arrives a week earlier on October 21.
Readers looking for the ‘Scrubs’ release date, air time and streaming options will find them below. The sections also cover what the official description teases for J.D., Elliot and Turk.
‘Scrubs’ Release Date and Time on ABC
ABC lists ‘My Halloween’ with an air date of October 28. The show airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, which is 7 p.m. Central.
The series opens ABC’s Wednesday comedy hour, and ‘Abbott Elementary’ follows it. The current run began on September 30 with two episodes airing back to back.
Reelgood’s schedule puts new episodes on a weekly cadence, with October 7, October 14, October 21 and October 28 as the next dates in sequence. That makes the Halloween installment the fourth consecutive Wednesday release since the double premiere settled into its regular rhythm.
German outlet GameStar reports that the season will include ten new episodes. If that count holds, the Halloween installment would leave four episodes still to come.
Where to Watch ‘Scrubs’ Online and on TV
In the United States, the episode is listed as an ABC release. A promotional post from the show tells viewers to stream earlier episodes on Hulu and catch the new episode on ABC on Wednesday.
ComicBook has also noted that the series can be streamed through Hulu and Disney+. For viewers who want to catch up before the Halloween installment, that gives a straightforward path to the earlier episodes.
Outside the United States, the picture changes slightly. Reelgood lists Disney+ as the streaming home in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, with the season arriving there on October 1. The first two episodes were released together on that date.
Reelgood adds that new viewers can watch the season through a Hulu free trial. Availability can differ by region, so it is worth confirming which service carries the show locally.
‘Scrubs’ Episode Preview for ‘My Halloween’
ABC’s official description says J.D. helps a former colleague with a difficult patient, Elliot looks for support for her new clinic, and Turk deals with growing pains within his family. A fan wiki listing also notes that J.D. narrates the episode.
The description leaves the identity of the former colleague open, which gives the episode some room to surprise. The lead cast includes Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison, alongside Ava Bunn as Dr. Sam Tosh. Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow are listed as returning in recurring roles.
Elliot’s storyline builds on earlier episodes. In ‘My Chief’, she took on more responsibility at Sacred Heart by leading a new initiative.
Turk’s thread arrives right after his birthday episode. ‘My Best Friend’s Birthday’ sets him on a mission to have a fun birthday with J.D. and Elliot.
How ‘Scrubs’ Reached the Halloween Episode
The first season of the revival ended on April 15 and closed with a cameo from Rachel Bilson that hinted at a potential new love interest for J.D. That first season had premiered on ABC on February 25. ABC renewed the series in April, after the first season finished airing.
The new season has not been a ratings story so far. The revival’s Wikipedia entry points to a ratings report stating that the premiere opened to series lows. That context matters for a show that returned after a long absence and is still finding its footing with a broader audience.
Showrunner Aseem Batra told The Hollywood Reporter that the team has a lot it wants to do, including continuing existing storylines. Mike Royce joined as an executive producer for the new season.
With J.D. helping an old colleague, Elliot building her clinic and Turk navigating family pressure all in one episode, which of those storylines do you most want the Halloween installment to resolve before the season moves on, and does it deserve the biggest share of the hour?
