Last July, Marvel Studios announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the anticipated series Secret Invasion will premiere in early 2023 on Disney+, and at today’s D23 Expo presentation, the first official trailer has been revealed, although we still didn’t get the specific premiere date.
MCU veteran Samuel L. Jackson, who is now officially the longest-running MCU actor, who’s been part of the franchise since 2008 (post-credit scene of Iron Man) returns once again as Nick Fury in the adaptation of the known comic book of the same name. Check the first official trailer down below:
Captain Marvel movie and post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home have set up this new show based on the well-known comic book. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise the iconic role of Nick Fury he’s playing since the very beginning of the MCU, while Ben Mendelsohn will reprise the role of Talos he played in Captain Marvel.
The series will also see the return of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes. Newcomers include Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo, while Kingsley Ben-Adir stars as the main unknown villain of the series.
Based on the Secret Invasion comic book by Brian Michael Bendis and Leinil Francis Yu, the series has been created by Kyle Bradstreet. This mini-series will consist of six episodes, and it is set to premiere in early 2023.
