The pair appeared inseparable as they frolicked near the shoreline, with Mendes frequently wrapping his arms around Marquezine and the couple sharing several affectionate kisses by the water’s edge. This latest appearance follows a string of public outings for the duo, who were first linked romantically in December 2025 during a previous holiday in Brazil.
According to reports from Page Six, the relationship has steadily progressed over the past few months, with the couple recently celebrating Carnival together in El Salvador. Despite their high-profile status, both stars have maintained a relatively discreet posture regarding their status, though their frequent PDA in Rio suggests they are becoming more comfortable in the public eye.

Mendes’ dating history before his connection with Marquezine has been a frequent topic of tabloid discussion, including a long-term relationship with fellow pop star Camila Cabello from 2019 to 2021.
He was also briefly linked to Sabrina Carpenter following his split from Cabello, though the singer has often pushed back against the intense public scrutiny of his personal life.
