Sienna Miller is sharing her perspective on the unique joys of experiencing a third pregnancy while in her 40s. The 44-year-old actress recently sat down for an interview with Glamour, where she expressed why she believes this stage of life is an ideal time for motherhood.

She explained that having children at different ages—29, 42, and now 44—has given her a clear understanding of how much simpler the process feels when life is more stable. The Anatomy of a Scandal star noted that the internal conflict and restless energy of her younger years have largely faded away.

“Having had a baby at 29, and then having a baby at 42, and now 44, it’s so much easier when you don’t have the conflict of feeling scattered and like you want to be doing X, Y, Z,” she remarked. She finds great contentment in a quieter lifestyle, often preferring a book and an early bedtime to the social pressures she felt in her 30s.

According to the actress, the fourth decade of life brings a much stronger sense of self and a lack of concern regarding outside opinions. “But by the time you hit 40, you’re like, ‘I kind of know who I am. I don’t really give a s–t about what anyone else thinks,’” she said, describing herself as a far more grounded person today.

She also questioned why society maintains a critical narrative around older mothers when men are rarely judged for having children late in life. Although she chose to freeze her eggs in her late 30s as a form of insurance, she revealed that she was able to conceive this time without needing to use them.

“I was really fortunately able just to get pregnant, but it was an existential relief having done that in my late 30s,” she added regarding the peace of mind the procedure provided. This new addition will be her second child with her partner, 29-year-old actor and model Oli Green.

The couple officially shared the news of their expanding family when the actress appeared on the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London. More recently, she made a high-profile return to Instagram on March 20, following a nearly eight-year absence from the platform.

Her first post featured a celebratory selfie, which she humorously paired with a meme to mark her social media comeback. Beyond her personal life, the actress has a busy professional year ahead, including a major role in the upcoming action-thriller Jack Ryan: Ghost War.

In this film continuation of the popular Prime Video series, she portrays Emma Marlowe, a sharp MI6 officer who becomes an essential ally to John Krasinski’s titular character. The movie is scheduled to premiere globally on the streaming platform on May 20.
