‘Silo’ Season 3 Is Being Filmed, While Season 4 Has Already Been Written Completely

‘Silo’ is moving fast with its next seasons. Season 3 is already being filmed, and Season 4 has been fully written. The show, based on Hugh Howey’s books, is adding new actors Ashley Zuckerman and Jessica Henwick to the cast in Season 3. Fans will also get more details about how the silos started.

Showrunner Graham Yost shared some big updates with TheWrap. He said the team got approval to adapt the entire story back during Season 1. Just five weeks into the first season, Apple gave them the go-ahead to finish it all. The audience loved it, so the plan was set early, even if the public only heard about it later.

The show has been carefully planned from the start. Season 3 is in production now, and Season 4 scripts are ready. Yost said they thought about stretching some storylines but decided to keep things tight. The series sticks close to the books but makes changes, like tweaking character names and backstories, to fit the show better.

Yost didn’t spill much about the ending. The finale is written, but he wants viewers to watch it unfold. The writing team has worked closely, often over Zoom, making the process special and emotional for everyone involved.

It’s exciting to see ‘Silo’ moving so quickly and staying true to its vision. The early commitment from Apple shows how much faith they have in the story, and the new cast members could bring fresh energy. I like that they’re not dragging things out—keeping it focused should make for a strong finish.
