Skydance Interactive Announces Chapter 2 of ‘The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners’ Video Game
On January 23, Skydance Interactive celebrated the second anniversary of the latest VR survival video game in The Walking Dead franchise. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners was released on January 23, 2020 for PC, and in May of 2020 it arrived on PlayStation 4 (with PS VR required).
Now, two years after the release of the previous game, Skydance Interactive announced that the virtual reality survival horror game is getting a sequel, officially titled The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution. The game will be a direct sequel to Chapter 1. The player will take the role of the tourist who must face new threats and survive in New Orleans, or what’s left of it.
You can check the official announcement below:
“The past two years have been absolutely incredible for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and we’re grateful for the continued support from the player community who have helped make the game the success it is today. We’re excited to announce Chapter 2, and we can’t wait to let players explore the new adventures that await them in the French Quarter and beyond.” — Chris Busse, Skydance Interactive
No other details regarding the sequel are known at this point, only that the sequel is on the way. The release date is also TBA. Skydance Interactive revealed in the announcement that the previous game earned over $60 million in revenue, which isn’t a bad result considering the game can be played only by gamers who own the VR headsets.
