‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Star Alden Ehrenreich Joins ‘Marvel’s Ironheart’

Alden Ehrenreich, best known for playing the titular role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, joined the upcoming MCU series Ironheart, Deadline has exclusively learned.

Marvel’s Ironheart is an upcoming series which was first announced in December 2020. The series is set to star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young, but genius inventor who managed to create the most advanced suit of armor since the era of Tony Stark. Thorne is set to make her debut as the character this year in the upcoming movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Ehrenreich’s role in the series wasn’t specified, but the report is saying that he’s set to play a key role. Ehrenreich began his career in one episode of the Supernatural series and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He is currently best known for playing young Han Solo in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story. He also starred in two of Francis Ford Coppola’s movies; 2009’s Tetro and 2011’s Twixt. In 2020, he played the main role in Peacock’s Brave New World.

Chinaka Hodge, who previously worked on TNT’s Snowpiercer series, was recently announced as the head writer of Marvel’s Ironheart. The series is set to begin production soon, and it’s set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2023.
