Spider-Man 4 was confirmed to be in development last year, but details remain scarce. What we do know is that Tom Holland and Zendaya will reprise their roles, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing the film.
Beyond that, not much has been revealed. However, even before the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, strong rumors have been circulating about a potential Venom crossover into the MCU.
After the premiere of Venom 3, fans who know the ending will understand just how likely a Spider-Man and Venom crossover might be. While Tom Hardy has confirmed he’s finished with the Venom trilogy, he has expressed interest in reprising his role in the MCU, particularly to face off against Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Now, according to Cosmic Circus, it seems Venom might indeed appear in the next Spider-Man movie. Sony Pictures Japan recently hinted at this potential meeting in a press release on November 8, 2024. The announcement included details about the film’s production and Tom Holland’s approval of the story.
The release also suggested Tom Hardy’s involvement as Venom, quoting him as saying Venom’s story isn’t over and expressing enthusiasm for working with Holland. While nothing is official, this could mark a big step toward the long-awaited Spider-Man and Venom crossover. Here’s the translated excerpt:
“Tom Holland, who plays Peter (Parker), has already given his stamp of approval to the story! “This will be a real movie that fans can respect!”Is Tom Hardy, who plays Eddie in the “Venom” series, ready to take part?”
This is an exciting tease for Venom fans eager to see his story continue. But how could his journey move forward? As long as the Hivemind exists, no symbiote is ever truly gone. There have also been strong rumors that Carnage and Knull might appear in the film.
