When PlayStation 5 was first revealed last year, many fans weren’t pleased by its look. Okay, maybe not so much about the look, as much as the color. So far, PlayStation 5 could’ve been bought only in white color rather than regular black color that PS4 and PS3 had.

Now, if you’re one of those gamers who didn’t like how the newest PlayStation console looked in its first color – problem solved. Well, it will be. Sony now presented new console covers that will be available next year. Yes, PlayStation 5 will soon be available in Midnight Black, but also Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue. Now it’s not only about choosing between the regular and digital edition of the console, you’ll need to pick a color too. So many options.

You can see Sony’s official announcement on Twitter down below. Sony also announced that the DualSense controller will also be available in all these new colors.

PS5 console covers in midnight black and cosmic red will be available in January 2022 in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines. If you already own PS5, no worries, these covers will be available separately. Just remove the original white covers and put the cover in the color of your preference. Prices are unknown at the time. The launch dates for both the console covers and the controller may vary by location and region. You’ll need to check the availability with your local retailer to be sure.
