Sophie Turner Sparks Rumors with 20-Year-Older Coldplay Frontman

Sophie Turner is reportedly dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, nearly 20 years her senior, after ending her relationship with aristocrat Peregrine ‘Perry’ Pearson, according to the Daily Mail.

The Game of Thrones actress, 29, was said to have gone on a private date with Martin, 48, shortly after breaking up with Perry, ending their nearly two-year romance.

Sources revealed that Sophie and Perry officially split following a high-society wedding in late September, where the couple were reportedly seen arguing on the dance floor.

Despite the breakup, Sophie quickly moved forward, reportedly meeting Martin the following week. Martin, who split from his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow years ago, has been in London this summer for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres tour.

While Sophie seems to have started a new chapter with Martin, Perry also appears to be moving on. He was reportedly spotted at a west London nightclub with a blonde companion resembling Sophie.

Sophie has long been a Coldplay fan. In a 2020 birthday surprise organized by her ex-husband Joe Jonas, she received a video message from Martin. “It’s Chris Martin!” she exclaimed, visibly shocked. Martin wished her a happy birthday and signed off, “Thanks for being awesome, bye,” blowing a kiss to the camera. Sophie tried to hold back tears, saying, “I’m not going to cry on camera.”

Sophie and Joe Jonas married in 2019 and share two daughters, Willa, four, and Delphine, two. Their divorce was finalized in September 2024, over a year after Joe filed for separation.

Sources report Sophie and Perry were first linked in 2023 and were last publicly seen together at Glastonbury Festival in June. Reports indicate that Sophie joined the celebrity dating app Raya in August, and she and Perry were seen together again at a London event in mid-September before officially splitting.

Peregrine Pearson is heir to the Cowdray estate in West Sussex and the eldest son of Michael Pearson, the 4th Viscount Cowdray. The estate is home to Cowdray Park Polo Club, which hosts hundreds of matches every year.

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were first linked in 2017, several years after Martin’s divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple got engaged in secret but reportedly ended their relationship in June 2025 after nearly a decade together.
