‘South Park’ Team Hilariously Reacts to Homeland Security Sharing Image from New Episode
The creators of South Park have fired back after Homeland Security shared an image from an upcoming episode, showing that you really shouldn’t mess with the guys behind the show.
The Trump Administration broke a long-standing rule by getting involved with the popular animated series. Homeland Security posted a picture on X promoting an ICE raid from a new episode, along with a link to a recruitment site for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

South Park’s official X account responded quickly and humorously, saying, “Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofd****.” This jab refers to a statement from the White House after the show’s 27th season premiere last month.

At that time, the administration claimed the show was no longer important and accused it of “uninspired ideas” while saying, “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years.”
The new season’s second episode, titled “Got A Nut,” is set to air on August 6 and continues South Park’s fearless approach to current events. A preview showed men in black cars marked “ICE” storming the streets, setting the stage for some sharp satire on immigration enforcement.
The episode’s official description reveals that Mr. Mackay loses his job and struggles to find a new way to earn a living, with one scene showing him inside an ICE raid truck.
This episode follows the huge success of the 27th season premiere, which drew nearly 6 million viewers across platforms, the biggest audience the show has had in 25 years. The premiere episode was especially talked about because it didn’t hold back in mocking Donald Trump. One of the wildest scenes featured an AI-generated version of Trump wandering through the desert, stripping off his clothes to reveal a talking p*n*s.
South Park’s bold and controversial humor continues even as the show’s parent company, Paramount Global, tries to balance its business relationships with political powers. Paramount has been criticized for moves that seemed designed to appease the Trump Administration while finalizing its merger with Skydance.
Despite this, South Park remains unafraid to push boundaries. The upcoming episode will also show more mocking of Trump, including a scene where he sits at a banquet with Satan, who protests when Trump rubs his leg under the table. Another moment features Cartman telling a character to “shut up — because you hate Americans and love abortions.”
The sharp response from the South Park team after Homeland Security’s post shows they’re not afraid to call out government agencies or anyone else. Their comeback reminded everyone that the show is very much still relevant, no matter what the White House might say.
