‘Spartacus: House Of Ashur’ Returns – Season 1 Trailer Promises Blood, Betrayal, and Wild Revelry
Starz has released the first trailer for Spartacus: House of Ashur, giving fans a glimpse of the violence, drama, and intense action the series promises.
According to Starz, the show will premiere on December 5 with the first two episodes available immediately. New episodes will then be released every Friday on the network’s app and channel.
The Red Band trailer shows a brutal gladiator fight where blood and chaos fill the arena. The crowd watches as life-or-death decisions are made with a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down, showing how the gladiators’ fates are controlled by both the emperor and the public. Liam McIntyre makes a brief appearance as Spartacus, and in one shocking moment, Ashur, played by Nick E. Tarabay, impales him with a spear.
For those faint-hearted, the Green Band trailer can be checked out on YouTube.
Spartacus: House of Ashur takes place in a reimagined version of Ancient Rome. The story follows Ashur, who returns as “Dominus” after previously being defeated. Driven by revenge and ambition, he builds his House into a new force full of power, desire, and loyalty shaped by violence.

The cast also includes Tenika Davis, Jamaica Vaughan, Ivana Baquero, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith, and Leigh Gill.
Starz described the series as a story where “power, passion, and destiny unite in an unforgettable new story,” promising fans the return of the intense action and hedonism that made the original series so popular.
