Speculation Emerges About the Possible Comeback of a Key ‘Eternals’ Character

After its release, ‘Eternals’ signaled a shift in the MCU. Despite mixed reviews and poor box office performance, it was praised as ambitious yet occasionally disjointed, introducing numerous elements that weren’t further explored.

While some viewers found it refreshing and enjoyed its blend of cosmic and mythological themes, others felt it fell short of expectations.

Some time back, rumors suggested that the potential sequel for ‘Eternals’ was canceled and no longer in progress. However, other rumors hinted that the project has been revamped into something else entirely, possibly still featuring the full cast of characters. Now, well-known leaker MyTimeToShineHello shares a significant update regarding Ikaris. It’s been suggested that Ikaris isn’t truly deceased and will make a return “sooner than we think.”

If you missed the first ‘Eternals’ film, Ikaris eventually takes his own life. After the failed Emergence of Tiamut and his emotional conflict with Sersi, Ikaris apologized for his actions and flew off into space, feeling lost and purposeless. He ultimately flew into the Sun. However, many didn’t anticipate Ikaris remaining deceased for long.

To address these rumors, it’s plausible that the leaker suggests Ikaris might return as a Zombie in the upcoming ‘Marvel Zombies’ spinoff of the ‘What If…?’ animated TV series. Additionally, there’s speculation that the character could appear in ‘Thor 5’ or even ‘Secret Wars’, a movie with several rumored additions. There’s also discussion about the upcoming ‘Blade’ reboot featuring Dane Whitman, which could potentially include Ikaris.
