Box office tracking services cited by HNGN currently place the film’s final domestic total somewhere between $900 million and just over $1 billion, with roughly a 90 percent probability it lands somewhere within that range. Along the way, the film has already collected an extraordinary list of single-day records, including the biggest opening day in domestic history at $168 million, the highest-grossing Monday ever at $47 million, and the biggest Tuesday in domestic history at $42 million, according to HNGN’s reporting.

Globally, the film has already crossed $2 billion, becoming just the eighth movie in history to reach that milestone and surpassing “Spider-Man: No Way Home’s” $1.9 billion total to become Sony’s highest-grossing release of all time. That achievement arrived even faster than expected, with the film becoming only the second movie ever, behind “Endgame,” to cross $1 billion globally within just six days of release.

Given how consistently “Brand New Day” has defied typical box office decay patterns weekend after weekend, this latest Friday surge feels less like an anomaly and more like confirmation that the film’s historic run still has real room left to grow.
