‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Just Got a Home Release Date, and Its Theatrical Run Still Isn’t Over
Box office records tend to fall quietly once a film’s theatrical window starts winding down, but this particular Spider-Man sequel has shown zero signs of slowing its momentum even as home release chatter begins. Weeks after shattering the all-time domestic opening weekend record, the film continues packing theaters well into its historic run.
That staying power has made the usual home media timeline a bit more complicated than normal, since studios typically prefer protecting ticket sales for as long as a film keeps performing at the box office. Even with that ongoing theatrical dominance, retailers and distributors have started laying the groundwork for the film’s eventual arrival at home.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is reportedly coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray on November 17, according to Blu-ray.com. The listing would place roughly 109 days between the film’s July 31 theatrical debut and its physical media release, a notably long gap reflecting just how well the film has continued performing in theaters.
Multiple retailers have already begun offering pre-orders across various formats, including a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray priced around $32.49 and a limited edition SteelBook packaging option priced at $44.99. A separate standard Blu-ray plus digital edition is also available for pre-order, alongside a DVD release, giving fans several ways to eventually own the film once it arrives.
Digital and video-on-demand availability is expected to land well before the physical media release, with some estimates pointing toward early-to-mid October based on comparisons to previous Sony Spider-Man releases. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ took roughly three months to reach digital platforms after its own theatrical run, a pattern that would put ‘Brand New Day’s’ digital debut somewhere in that same general window.
The film’s continued box office strength has played a direct role in pushing back these home release timelines. Having already passed ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to become the highest-grossing domestic opening weekend of all time, and having crossed $2 billion worldwide faster than almost any film in history aside from ‘Endgame’ itself, ‘Brand New Day’ remains protected by a theatrical exclusivity window that could keep it in cinemas for several months.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink, among others, following Peter Parker as he attempts to leave Spider-Man behind before a new threat forces him back into action. With reported box office totals now exceeding $891 million domestically, the film continues climbing the all-time charts even as this home release news starts to circulate.

Given how unpredictable the film’s release timeline has been so far, this November date should still be treated as a placeholder rather than a fully locked confirmation, especially since neither Sony nor the studio have issued an official comment on the listing. Fans eager to own the film will likely need to keep watching for further updates as the date approaches.
Will you wait for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to hit home release, or see it in theaters while you still can?
