Spider-Man: No Way Home is closer than ever! With only two weeks until the worldwide premiere, Marvel and Sony are continuing to hype up the movie as much as they can. We got two official trailers, several official posters, TV spots, and all that promotional stuff.
Now, we got three official character posters. Each of them is showing Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro facing Tom Holland’s titular hero. You can check the posters below:
Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Electro are only three of the five confirmed villains. There is one more that should complete the movie’s Sinister Six, but it’s unknown which villain will it be. Some fans have theories it could be Venom, but that wasn’t confirmed. And we’re honestly hoping at least that one villain will be left as a surprise for the premiere.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most expected movie of the year. The movie already grossed $35 million on pre-sales, putting it behind Avengers: Endgame (still holds the record with $40 million), but in front of other huge blockbusters like Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in his third solo movie. No Way Home is also his sixth MCU appearance, the last on his current contract. But no worries, Sony’s Amy Pascal already announced they’re planning a new trilogy in which Holland’s path as the web-slinger would continue.
No Way Home is also starring Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, for whom No Way Home will set up his solo movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans will reprise their roles of Sandman and Lizard from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 and Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, respectively.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere on December 17, 2021.
