The season of Christmas movies is almost over for this year, but we already know there’s a lot of movies to look forward to next Holiday season. One of them is Spirited, a Christmas musical starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.
Ryan Reynolds is currently on a break from acting, but before he decided to take a break, he wrapped the production of Spirited, a movie that is set to be released exclusively on the Apple TV+ during the Holiday season next year.
Spirited is described as the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ legendary novella A Christmas Carol. Ryan Reynolds stars as Ebeneezer Scrooge, the famous main character of the mentioned novel. Will Ferrell stars as Ghost of Christmas Present, while Sunita Mani stars as Ghost of Christmas Past. It’s unknown who will play Ghost of Christmas Future, but Patrick Page, Aimee Carrero, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, Jen Tullock, and Octavia Spencer were announced to star in the movie in undisclosed roles.
Instead of giving us the legit first look, Reynolds just teased us in his own unique way. On his Twitter account, Reynolds shared a video which is showing the desktop background featuring Will Ferrell. Reynolds opens a folder with images and opens a few behind-the-scenes images. Written and directed by Sean Anders and John Morris, Spirited will be released during the Holiday season in 2022. The exact release date is still TBA.
