Todd Stashwick is keeping the door open for a return to the Star Trek universe. In a recent interview with TrekMovie, the actor spoke about the potential spinoff Star Trek: Legacy and shared his enthusiasm for reprising his role as Shaw.

Stashwick admitted that there hasn’t been much movement from Paramount regarding the show or other Star Trek projects.

Still, he said he would happily return if the series gets the green light. “I love workin’. I love the character of Shaw. I love the Star Trek universe, and I love all the people that… If someone chooses to greenlight this project and fills it with all the people that the Legacy show would have: Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, Ed Speleers, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, Mica Burton, I would love to work with those people,” he said.

“If that means appearing as a hologram, and it contributes to my health and pension, I’m there.”

Earlier this year, Jeri Ryan, another actor attached to the spinoff, also expressed optimism about Legacy, telling fans to “never say never” when it comes to the series eventually coming to life.

Paramount’s recent merger with Skydance and the potential future mergers, including a stalled Warner Bros. deal, mean that the studio is still in a state of flux. Because of this, it’s unclear when or if Star Trek: Legacy will move forward.

For now, Stashwick is ready and willing to return whenever the project is officially approved. “I love all the people that… if someone chooses to greenlight this project… I would love to work with those people,” he reiterated, emphasizing his excitement for the series and the Star Trek universe.

It’s clear that both the cast and the fans are eager to see Legacy happen. What do you think? Should Paramount give Star Trek: Legacy the green light? Share your thoughts in the comments.
