During a joint town hall interview with Matthew McConaughey, Chalamet had joked that he would not want to work in ballet or opera because no one cares about it anymore. Spielberg clearly disagrees with that perspective, emphasizing that the communal feeling found in cinemas is also found in concerts, as well as in ballet and opera.

After listing these art forms, Spielberg smiled as the audience responded with enthusiastic applause and laughter. And we want that to be sustained, he added. We want that to go forever.
