Netflix released a new trailer for Stranger Things 5, marking the beginning of the end for one of the most popular shows of the past decade. The final season of the hit sci-fi horror series will be split into three parts, bringing fans back to Hawkins, Indiana, one last time.

The fifth season will feature eight episodes in total. The first two volumes are set to drop on November 26 and December 25, while the series finale will arrive on December 31. The season is once again led by creators the Duffer Brothers, alongside producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.

Most of the familiar faces will return, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp. Fans will also see Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and Priah Ferguson back in action. Amybeth McNulty, who appeared briefly in Season 4, has been promoted to a main role, while Terminator star Linda Hamilton joins the cast as a newcomer.

The story picks up a year after the events of Season 4, set in the fall of 1987. The group is now determined to find and destroy Vecna after the Rifts tore open across Hawkins. But their mission won’t be easy.

The military arrives in town, turning Eleven into a target once again. As the anniversary of Will Byers’ original disappearance approaches, the gang faces one last, deadly fight to save their town, and possibly the world.

The newly released trailer teases an intense and emotional conclusion. It shows Hawkins in ruins, Eleven confronting her past, and glimpses of Vecna’s terrifying return. The footage hints at a darker tone and a high-stakes battle that will test the group’s loyalty and strength more than ever before.

As the curtain closes on Stranger Things, fans are already feeling nostalgic about saying goodbye to a show that defined an era of streaming television. The series, which debuted in 2016, has become a major cultural phenomenon, blending ‘80s nostalgia, supernatural thrills, and heartfelt storytelling.
