Stranger Things might be one of the most anticipated returning shows this year. The latest, third season, aired in the summer of 2019, and the show has been on hiatus ever since. Earlier this year, Netflix finally revealed some big news about one of their most popular shows at the moment.
The fourth season of the series will be split into two parts, with the first part set to be released on May 27, and the second part on July 1, 2022. Netflix also announced that the series will return for the fifth season, which will also be the series’ last season. We’re just hoping we won’t need to wait three more years for the final season after the fourth one debuts on the streamer.
Today, Netflix revealed brand new images from the anticipated Season 4, and according to them, the photos are giving horror movie vibes. Do you agree? Check the gallery below:
“I think they’ll [the fans] be happy when they see it. It’s very, very long, which is why it’s taking us a very long time. I’m constantly impressed with how sharp the fans are, and how quickly they’re able to put something together with very, very little information.” — Ross Duffer for Present Company With Krista Smith
“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.” — Stranger Things Season 4, official synopsis
