‘Sunrise On The Reaping’ Just Gave Fans Their First Real Look At Young Haymitch And Effie Together

Anticipation for the next chapter of Panem’s story has been building for months, and every new image only seems to raise the temperature. Since the announcement of the project, fans have been eager to see how a new generation of actors would step into roles that longtime viewers already know intimately.

It is a far cry from the polished, clipboard wielding escort fans met in the original trilogy, and the new footage suggests the film is leaning into that contrast.

Excitement around the casting has been building since the first trailer dropped. Elle Fanning was confirmed to be playing a young Effie Trinket alongside Ralph Fiennes as a younger President Snow, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, and Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee.
