Superman and Spider-Man Set to Team Up in Epic 2026 Crossover
DC and Marvel are bringing back one of the most famous team-ups in comics: Superman and Spider-Man. The crossover will continue into 2026, combining reprints of classic stories with new, original adventures for fans.
The celebration kicks off in January with two oversized Treasury Edition reprints. On January 7, DC will release Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1, a faithful reproduction of the comic that first paired the two heroes.
Then on February 4, DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1 will bring back another long-out-of-print story.
In addition to the reprints, new one-shot comics are planned for spring 2026. DC will release Superman/Spider-Man #1 in March, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April. While story details and creative teams haven’t been announced, both issues will feature fresh stories that honor the legacy of these iconic characters.
This crossover is part of an ongoing collaboration between the two publishers that began this year. The first project in this initiative was the Deadpool/Batman #1 crossover, with Batman/Deadpool #1 set for release on November 19.
By revisiting past classics and creating new stories, DC and Marvel aim to appeal to both longtime fans and new readers.
Seeing Superman and Spider-Man team up again is a thrilling moment for comic fans. The combination of classic reprints and new stories makes this both a nostalgic celebration and an exciting step forward.
It’s a smart way to honor the characters’ history while introducing them to a modern audience.
