New photos from the set of Euphoria season three are giving fans a fresh look at Sydney Sweeney back in character as Cassie Howard. The images were taken during filming last year and have recently started circulating online, sparking new theories about where the story is headed.

Season three will include a five-year time jump. The story will no longer center on high school life. Instead, it will follow the characters as young adults dealing with bigger and more complicated problems. HBO has confirmed that season three will premiere on April 12. The new episodes arrive four years after season two ended. The long break has only increased interest in the show’s return.

During the hiatus, Sweeney’s career has expanded quickly. She received praise for playing boxer Christy Martin in the 2025 drama Christy. For that role, she trained heavily and performed many of her own stunts. Her performance earned her a Virtuoso Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

She also starred in the thriller The Housemaid, which performed strongly at the box office. In that film, she played a woman who discovers dark secrets while working for a wealthy family. A sequel to The Housemaid is already in development.

Looking ahead, she is set to portray actress Kim Novak in Scandalous, directed by Colman Domingo. Reports have also linked her to other major projects, including possible franchise sequels. Through her company, Fifty-Fifty Films, she has taken on producing work as well.

Despite all of this, Euphoria remains a key part of her identity in Hollywood. She will reunite with cast members such as Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer for the new season.
