T.J. Miller Declares He Will Never Collaborate with Ryan Reynolds Again: “They Call Him the Crying Ryan”
Deadpool & Wolverine has recently hit theaters, breaking box office records and captivating millions of fans worldwide. Much of this success can be attributed to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who have joined forces for their first MCU venture, portraying Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively.
While the media is closely tracking the movie’s marketing and fans are eagerly following social media and behind-the-scenes photos showcasing a friendly and relaxed set, some former colleagues of Reynolds have painted a different picture of him.
We’re referring to T.J. Miller, the actor and comedian who previously collaborated with Ryan Reynolds on the Deadpool franchise. Miller was notably missing from Deadpool & Wolverine, likely due to legal issues and sexual assault allegations. Miller has suggested in the past that Reynolds harbors ill feelings towards him.
Miller claims that Reynolds once insulted him on the set of Deadpool, leading him to believe that Reynolds dislikes him and is not interested in working with him again.
He was like “You know what’s great about you Weasel, you’re not the star but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.” He’s a great improviser. […] But that’s what’s weird about him, and I’ve met other people who can confirm this, he did that and it was weird, and it doesn’t bother me. […] I just kind of listened to it and thought it was weird, and then got off stage beacuse then they finally yelled like “Cut” and then I got to a station and walked over and the whole crew was acting weird. Then I went up to Kate and I was like that was weird right, and she was “of course, it was f** weird, it was insane.” It was insane and everybody was looking at each other like “what the f was he doing.”
Would I work with him again? No. I would not work with him again.
Miller also remarked that Reynolds appears to be insecure and doesn’t appreciate it when others get laughs, and he mentioned that people have nicknamed him “Crying Ryan.”
I think he’s kind of an insecure dude. He’s really nice but I mean his Twitter bio is “showing you the parts of me that Focus Tested the best in focus groups” and I’m not sure that he’s joking. I think that might actually be his real sentiment there. […] He’s worked so hard to get this movie made, and it’s people’s favorite movie. It’s “get a tattoo of it” level movie.
I think that maybe, there was some part of him that, that frustrated him. I can’t begin to guess what his deal is. […] I love it when people get laughs, you know I think it’s great when the two of you get laughs, no one else really on the show does…But you know, Ryan never does, and “crying Ryan” that’s what they used to call him.
