His Dark Materials

His Dark Materials is a series of fantasy novels written by Philip Pullman. Due to its massive success, the novels were adapted into numerous forms of media including a live-action movie and HBO/BBC television series under the same title. The story of His Dark Materials follows Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry and their travel through parallel universes. The book series managed to gain quite a controversial status due to its allegedly “anti-god” narrative.
